That is a meaningful change from the previous rhythm of Quail's Nest and The Roost carrying the dinner load, and it gives the clubhouse a proper reservation-worthy evening room rather than a grill-and-patio default.

Why this matters for the Fairways specifically. Most of the townhomes and patio homes along Windy Walk are a golf-cart ride, not a drive, from the clubhouse door at 25000 North Windy Walk Drive. A weekly changing menu is the kind of thing that only works if the audience is close enough to come every week, and Troon Fairways is exactly that audience. The rest of the club's dining stack sits behind it in a way that makes sense for the season. The developer is MBA Development Partners, and the four-bedroom suites are roughly 1,615 square feet with the two-bedrooms closer to 700.

The Forbes framing is honest about the gap it fills. North Scottsdale has long been missing a piece of the destination-golf puzzle, which is luxury lodging paired with elite public golf. That gap is what has kept Troon North's tee sheet dominated by day-trippers driving up from resorts further south. Once the Retreat is stabilized, expect a shift in who is on the course at what hour, and a corresponding shift at Dynamite Grille, which will serve as the "onsite" restaurant for the resort, open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

For a Troon Fairways resident, that translates into two small behavior changes worth making now. Book Dynamite tee times and dinner reservations further ahead than you used to, and treat the mid-week early evening slot at Pinnacle or Monument as the new premium window while the resort rhythm sorts itself out.

Desert Orchard, and the Café Nobody Told You About

The Four Seasons at the base of Pinnacle Peak has always been a good rainy-Sunday brunch answer, but the news is a quieter one. Desert Orchard is the resort's new wellness-forward café, part of a January 2026 wellness lineup anchored to immersive desert rituals, outdoor adventure, and mindful movement. The menu blends cold-pressed juices, seasonal wellness elixirs, and freshly baked pastries by Executive Pastry Chef Christina Kaelberer, including signature lavender-citrus croissants and blue corn madeleines.

The value here is not the smoothies. It is that a walkable café with real pastry has opened at the closest resort to the Fairways, and it is open to non-guests. For a neighborhood where the nearest coffee shop is a ten-minute drive south, this is a genuine addition to the map.

Pair it with the resort's other quiet advantage. The property's location at the base of Pinnacle Peak offers direct access to one of Scottsdale's most iconic hiking experiences, with scenic desert trails and morning climbs. Meaning you can do the trail from your own driveway, come down the back side, and be at a croissant inside forty-five minutes.

The Weekday Sequence Worth Trying This August

Monsoon math has not changed. The season runs mid-June through September with peak activity in July and August, and the storms are not all-day rains but dramatic afternoon events lasting 20 to 45 minutes, often producing spectacular lightning and vivid sunsets.
